Resolution problems

Hello friends,

 I have recently built my own computer and have been using an older tv as monitor my problem is when i use HDMI i get terrible overscanning which i cannot fix on my tv due to the fact of it being older and when i try custom resolutions in the nvidia control center i get text that hard to read and thats rather blurry just overall poor image quality i would use VGA but my card does not support that output and when i use an adapter on the dvi port my card does have it just produces terrible color . Side note when i hooked up my card for the first tim to my tv i got a perfect image, no overscanning problems and colors looked great but when i updated my cards drivers the overscan returned and i was stuck with funky resolutions . my specs btw
