R9 290x Lightning

Is the Lightning edition from the R9 290x still worth to buy?

For almost the same price i can get the Vapor X whit 8gb VRam.

unless u r gonna use something that uses 8gb its useless, i got a 290x 4gb and i dont see myself ever using more than 4gb for 1080p gaming

Thats what i am thinking about. The 8Gb Version is a little bit more expensiv but there are some whit the same price as the 4gb version. So i can get the 8gb version and maybe in the future i upgrade to 4k. But is it worth to buy a 290x when the 300 series comes out?

We dont even know when the 390 will come out... Some are saying q3 or q4. Get a 290x right now, the 300 is gonna take some time
