Best tablet for note taking?

I'll be looking to get a tablet for note taking in class, since I figure it'll be easier to manage than tons of sheets of paper, which I have a habit of misplacing or spilling stuff on.

So far the two leading contenders are the Microsoft Surface 3, and the Samsung Note.

From what I've read the Surface series has a much better hand writing to text software.

I also like the thought of having Windows over Android.

Anyone here used it?
Or have a better option?

Anything non Apple.

I know that Lenovo has the ~~Flex~~ Yoga Tab2 (I think that's what it's called btw @dizmo) I believe they give a stylus but your probably better off using anything that has a point edge to write notes down.

I've used my friends Surface (Pro ...i think) 3, not half bad however I think the 256 lvls of hardness isn't soo great. Decent at scribbling notes in OneNote but I'd be weary of losing a $50 dollar stylus.
