My first actual build

I plan to build a new rig for pretty much all the new releases of this year, GTA V, Witcher 3, etc.

 

The specs are:

Processor: FX 6300 (plan to overclock it to 4.0GHz)

Motherboard: I am confused about, Gigabyte GA-970A-D3P, or do I get the M5A99FX Pro? The Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3P one hasn't showed up here, brilliant

RAM: HyperX Fury Blue 8GB

GPU: Reusing the current Sapphire HD 7770 GHz edition

PSU: Corsair CX600 Semi-modular

Case: Carbide 300R

Cooling: 2xBitfenix Spectre Pros in the front, one in the back, Hyper 212 Evo for the processor\

Storage: Samsung 850 Evo 240GB as primary, 1TB WD Blue as secondary

A DVD writer, because I still buy physical games

I basically need help with the motherboard

The budget is flexible, though I'm not sure it can accomodate a 990fx mobo, maybe, but importing the UD3P isn't an option due to horrendous taxes and shipping costs here

Id rather get one of the lower end core I5 since the FX-series is showing its age.

Get like the 4450 or so and youl be better of, but otherwise it's a pretty solid build.

I don't mean to be rude, but that's a terroble build. What is your budget? I can put together a better one.

 

If you do use that then you could do lowest settings on like 720p or 900p

I plan to use the 7770 only until I can get the R9 270x or better, it is just a backup for now

Fx-6300 will really strain in GTA V at high settings, would recommend that you get a low end i5 or a cheap xeon depending on the price available.

I'd suggest the Athlon x4 860k if your set on amd.

Oh wow.... Well then at least try get the 8350 or higher like the 8370 with a good cooler to overclock them good

But that kinda pushes it out of the budget for me, the parts are laden with tax overprices, but I think I'll stick with the 6300 for now, just need a good motherboard to OC it a little if possible
