I would get a Cryorig H5, be quiet! Shadow Rock 2 or be quiet! Pure Rock instead of the Hyper 212 EVO. The mounting system is more sturdy and they are better priced in terms of performance.

Thanks for the tip. I am going with the Shadow Rock 2. It has mutch more cooling performance, is quieter and looks better!!! great suggestion. Thanks

I would get the EVGA SC or SSC model of the 970, or the MSI Twin Frozr, or the G1 Gaming from gigabyte.

The Strix doesn't overclock that good.

OP never mentioned OC'ing. The G1 gaming is a nice cooler, don't get me wrong as I have one with my 960, but it's a bit overpriced unless you're just OC'ing a lot. I've heard EVGA's ACX 2.0 cards have horrible coil whine..MSI aren't bad but I trust the STRIX more.

PC and Peripherals:

Intel Core i3 4150 @3.5GHz - ASRock H97M Anniversary - Kingston Fury HyperX Black 8GB DDR3 @1866MHz - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 G1 Gaming 2GB GDDR5 - EVGA 500W 80+ Certified - WD Caviar Blue 1TB - WD Caviar Blue 160GB - Lian Li PC-50 - Linux Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS - Acer P221w 21.5" 1680x1050 60Hz - Kingston Fury HyperX Clouds - Razer Deathadder 3.5G - CM Storm Quickfire Rapid w/ Cherry MX Blues

I am not planning to OC. Maybe a bit but not that much.

I will get the strix because I trust Asus and it has a single 8 pin power connector so I can install 2 without needing molex to 8 pin connectors.
