cd/dvd driver needed windows 7 installation

Go to solution Solved by Gothtaz,

Do you have spare computer with optical drive to burn window 7 onto it? if USB dont work. You can always ask for friend old disk if there still have it.

I have a few spares laying around, I will have to go out and get a disk so that I can try making a instal disk. I tried looking around for a windows 8 64bit iso, but sadly I had no luck. I will get back to you if that works.

I was hoping someone might know how to slip stream the drivers into the ISO seeing as how that is not something I know yet.

Okay SO I have a HP Pavilion g6-2226nr Laptop, it came with windows 8 64bit preinstalled, but I am wanting to put windows 7 64bit on it due to a HDD taking a nose dive. I have a USB instal iso all set up but I get the error  A required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing or A media driver your computer needs is missing. I have tried doing it on the only usb 2.0 slot on the computer, and the UEFI was turned to legacy booting as well.

Specs:

OS: Unbutu 14.04LTS 64bit
AMD A4-4300M APU with Radeon HD Graphics : 2500.00MHz
Memory   8BG

Bios Vendor:Insyde Version: F.26

you only have 1 usb slot on the computer?

oh jesus, it's a pavillion, get rid of it. i cannot tell you have many of those i have tried to refurb, they all just end up staying dead. sell it used while you still can.

try the USB 3.0s, they are backwards compatible.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.
