I got a H100i a cuple of days ago and i overclocked my cpu to 4,5GHz. It ran Prime95 stable for 8 hours yesterday, but today i ran it again and i got a blue screen in a few minutes and i get some random app crashes (once a day max). So i was messing around with the voltages and now its a bit more stable, but i need help how to make it 100% stable.

Thanks :D

specs:

Intel Core i7 3770K @ 4.50GHz

16,0 GB DDR3 @ 1600MHz

ASUS P8Z77-V DELUXE

AMD Radeon HD 6850 (Gigabyte)

What BSOD error are you getting? And if your ram is good (memtest86+) then you probably need to up the voltage. My silicon lottery sucks so I'm at 4.5 @ 1.305v.

I think its your temps, that temperature is WAY too hot for a processor, you shouldn't be getting that with a water cooler. You probably didn't sit the water block down properly. It also could be the chip - Ivy Bridge does get hotter when you overclock it.

yes all my drivers, bios and other stuff is the newest for my motherboard

temps are ok... 37degrees average at idle, 74 average under full load. system shuts down at 90 average (i think?) so i think that temps are not really a problem in my case

Googled a bit and found out:

"105 degrees celsius is the TJ Max for i7-3770k. Going any higher than this could cause damage, and your CPU will automatically throttle itself down or turn itself off to prevent that.

Anything below that temperature is technically safe, but many reviewers are saying that 85 degrees is a good temperature to stay below for a daily, normal use overclock."

I'm running a i5 3570k at 4.4 ghz, with voltages at 1.192, and I never went over 70 degrees on full load using the H80. What are your voltages?

Also, when installing drivers, did you make sure to install the chipset driver first, before any other driver? I think chipset drivers must be installed first, but I may be wrong.

His temps are fine. OP: If you reduce your clock speed a little ( so go from 4.5 to 4.4 ) is it still stable?

If it is, then 4.4 is probably your maximum overclock. There are no guarantees that your chip will be as good as another person's. They're all individual.

Your ram could be preventing full stability, have you looked into overclocking that aswell?

yes on 4.4 it is 100% stable

but with what voltages should i play around at this point that would affect stability?

any other changes i could make, maybe in digi+ power control?

these are the options i have there:
