Finding a GPU-block for my 780

Go to solution Solved by EK Luc,

Hi,

So i recently started watercooling and im looking to integrate my gpu (ASUS Strix 780 6gb) but i did not find any fullcover blocks for it, only the universal ones(covers GPU-chip only)  but i´d have to get heatsinks for the VRM and RAM-chips and thats not as sexy looking as a fullcover block (also much more complicated).

The only lead that i found is a list of blocks (2 to be exact, the ASUS Direct CUII one for the 780) that could fit on it based on visual inspection by ekwb and so i´m not exactly shure. I´ve looked at pictures of the pcb and block to compared the VRM/Ram-chips placement but thats to vague to go out and buy a 100 dollar block just so i can send it back in case it doesnt fit.

So my question is should i go for it and order the ekwb one or does anyone else have a suggestion ?

I really don't want to go with the universal block.

Thanks

You will be ok with our EK-FC780 GTX Ti DCII block.  :)

OP-sorry to steal this topic

EK Luc - will there be blocks for EVGA GTX970 SSC ACX 2.0+ (04G-P4-3975-KR) ? thanks

No.  EVGA change their PCB's between the 2975 and the 3975 models and our block only fits the 2975.  We don't have plans to have a block for the 3975.

I know, it is 1cm longer on the 3975 :( so no watercooling for me sadly, thanks for info

They did the same thing between the 970 FTW and FTW+

From this day I still don't get why they did that on those 2 cards...

Yes, that is a shame they did that... oh well, the ACX cooler isn't that bad... thanks again :)
