Budget? I can't see the list due to a 404 error :P , be sure to make it a perma link.

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz --- RAM: Lenovo 1600MHz 16GB --- MOBO: Gigabyte Z97-G7 --- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0+--- PSU: Corsair CX600 --- Case: Corsair Air 540 --- Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 --- OS: Windows 8.1 --- Monitor: 24" AOC G2460P + Dell 19" --- Mouse: Logitech MX Perfromance --- Keyboard: Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Brown) --- Audio: Sennheiser HD558

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

The 280x has already been bought so has the mobo... I got the gpu on offer at a local shop for £140 (bargin). If we say the budget is £700 for the rest of the parts... I really like that case however.

id change the cpu because "f*ck AMD" trust me i know what im talking about maybe get a i5 with stock cooler i bet itll run better.

isnt the psu a little overkill

It leaves more room for upgrades... im trying to future proof my computer before i go to uni and have no money to spend on my PC.

and the CPU has not been bought.

how ever now that i look at the pricing for a new Mobo and CPU for intel it is swaying me... there is a lot of room for edits for the build.

http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/WyqHD3 forget about future proof but still this one is best i think. i leaves room for improvement but stilll offers a great base

what about this for an change from AMD to Intel?

what is it with you and that H100i GTX thats something i would consider upgradeable over time with intel.

with amd id go with it to because the reference cooller is crap but with intel id take the money and get a better cpu also i dont recommend seagate for hdd

well obviously it looks pretty but that shouldnt be the most important thing in my opinion. if there is room for improvement performance wise then looks dont count. if you are at the top performance wise then you can go into detail with looks and sleeving and all that. for hdd i always western digital never had problems with them

EDIT: At least i wouldnt get a weaker cpu just so i can put a more overkill cooler on it. that like stepping down from a sportscar just so i can get a minivan with awesome spoilers. thats crap in my opinion. also it leaves rrom to add a cooler later on if you really need to

changed a few things... opinions?

youre not getting the k because of 4 bucks?

do you really need the gaming 9 ac ? if so why ?

this would be my counter proposal http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/p/ycBqyc
