anyways i was wondering if I can get stable 60 fps on high 1080p. i have an r9 280 double dissipation. only asking this is because the benchmarks I was looking at only showed like the 285, some weird resolutions like 1600x900 or 1900x1200

I recommend you download the latest beta driver from AMD. It gave me quite an FPS boost.

High should be very smooth on your 280. Mostly very high and 2x MSAA runs 40-60 on my 7970 (lower clocked 280x)

You should be able to but it all really depends..

 

I seem to get difference performance from other people and i'm constantly at like 50fps with a 970 overclocked to 1500MHz...
