Preparation?

Hi!

 

So, my CPU and Motherboard have finally been dispatched. As soon as I have them, I can build my PC.

 

Does anyone have any tips / experience with an NZXT S340 case? I'm also going to be installing an SSD with a hard drive, do I need to configure these differently or will they be fine since they're brand new (no previous installs on them).

 

 

CPU: i5 4690k @ 3.5GHz + Stock Cooler       GPU: MSI R9 270X                                                                  SSD: Crucial BX100 120GB              Headset: Kingston HyperX Cloud II


Case: NZXT Source 340 (Black)                      RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MhZ                HDD: 1TB WD Blue                              Mouse: Logitech G500


OS: Windows 7 Ultimate                                    PSU: Corsair 500W Modular                                                 Motherboard: GA-B85M-DS3H           Keyboard: Logitech G110

you should be fine with the hard drive, just make sure the HDD IS UNPLUGGED WHEN INSTALLING OS.

I'll just leave the SATA cable lying on top of it for easy access.

 

S340 thumb screws are a nightmare, ended up pulling back some skin off my finger trying to unscrew them, lool

Thumb screws are often over-tightened at the factory--they shouldn't be any more of a pain than any other thumb screw. 

It should be a breeze to build in the S340.
