Hi guys would this rig be able to play games such as battlefield hardline, Total wat atilla and GTA V all at close to 60 fps on high settings with the filters turned down. Relatively new to pc building so im not sure about this.

 

CPU: 15-4690k@4.7GHz

Cooler: CM V8

Mobo: Asus Z97-Pro Gamer

GPU: Asus GTX 970

SSD: Intel 500GB

Ram: Corsair 8GB 1866

Case: NZXT S340

PSU: CM V700

If by high you mean not ultra, and by filters you mean post-processing stuff, then yes. It won't knock it out of the park, but it should be fine.

Depends on your minimum fps threshold. Looking up benchmarks is your best bet. For AAA titles you would undoubtedly be better off with a 980 or two 970s.

There is one for Battlefield. Finding benchmarks is as easy as googling the game, followed by resolution, and then GPU (the order doesn't really matter). Unfortunately not all games are benchmarked on every GPU for every resolution but you can usually extrapolate the data to what you need if you can't find exactly what you are looking for.

How about you drop that stupid SSD in favor of an HD, as well as the Ram to cheapest 8gb (1x8 or 2x4, doesn't mater), and dump all that money saved into a 2nd gtx 970?

 

This will snag you much more FPS. Oh, and btw, reduce the PSU to 600w.

EVGA GTX 970 SSC

an asus pb278q 1440p monitor and have yet to have any issues with running games on ultra even with post processing in some games
