safe gpu temp?

So on standard settings my gtx 970 (EVGA SC) has a temp target of 79°C which is kinda high, so I did a custom fan curve where is like 76°C, but then i start hearing it, i mean its not annoying cuz i barrely hear my system anyways when gaming cuz i have headphones, but whats the highest safe tempreature for this gpu?

As long as you're not going over 85C, you'll be fine.

The actual safe operating temperature is probably different, but I'd say if it's going above 80c then somethings not good.

cuz it has copper heatpipes as far as i know and unlocked voltage, this one can only get +37mV
