5820k, 5930k, and 5960x are the three consumer grade x99 chips.

 

Any x99 chip will render well, after that it just depends on what you need, and how much you wnt to spend.

Yes that cpu will work but isn't that cpu a bit overkill for your use.

Consumer grade? More like enthusiast grade

5820k, 5930k, and 5960x are the three consumer grade x99 chips.

Yeah it's the upper end, but they aren't the proffesional chips, and I didn't feel like listing the half dozen xeon chips that are compatible with x99.
