You are going to need a much better power supply for that RIG. I would recommend the EVGA 500 watt power supply 80+ if you are on a slight budget, but if you have more money, better quality ones such as CORSAIR 430watt Bronze semi modular. Do not buy a power supply more than 500 watts if you plan to use 1 graphics card.

Either get a 4GB version of a 960, or just pick up a 280X, the R9280X is MUCH better, but the GTX 960 4GB will beat the R9 280X

edit: heres a build around 600 USD

4690k and 780ti can be ran on a 450w

4460 + 960 can run on 360w most likely, i really don't see why it couldn't. especially a seasonic power supply.

and '960 beating the 280x' is the biggest joke i've ever fucking seen lol. the 280x outclasses the 960 by a mile.

no problem

anything "Intel" must be ran with an Intel motherboard, but something like the "Intel Core i7 4790k Socket LGA 1150" must be ran on a motherboard that is socket "LGA 1150" and so on.

That motherboard you listed is for an AM3(+) AMD Processor instead. :P

if you must, buy the gtx970 over the 960, the 960 is NOT worth it at all, not any version of it.

This^ So much this. What I would do however is get an evga 600w psu which is normally significantly cheaper and with the saved money get a better case like an s340.

Look in the description or title.

If you happen to have a physical box it says so on it.

i only went with the cx600m because it's a guaranteed single rail and inexperienced users might power the gpu improperly causing black screens or fail to boot entirely, overloading one of the rails etc.

Do i need it boxed or tray?

Boxed. Boxed has the stock cpu cooler with it which is all you'll need to cool your processor since it's locked and will not overclock.

Tray comes without the stock cooler but you'll want it.

Well, i like to play 3D games like LoL and CS:GO. But i also want to edit and make video's with it, i'm planning to use Nvidia Shadowplay and windows movie maker :)

If you're mainly playing those two games you should be able to easily achieve over 60 FPS in both of them.

Here is a set of results for WoW:

WoW-HIGH.png

Bear in mind that the GTX 960 is significantly stronger than even the 660 Ti, and that you could probably get much higher framerates if anti-aliasing less than 8x was used instead.

CS:GO should also run very easily, I get hundreds of FPS with every setting completely maxed out.

As for video editing, a 4460 should be fine for any Shadowplay footage you capture if you are just cutting it up and re-ordering it, but it might slow down a bit if you want to render out complex transitions as well (don't know if those exist in MovieMaker).

If you follow some of duriel's advice on the build you should be fine.

All of them should be able to get over 60 FPS no problem in WoW or CS:GO.

I wouldn't necessarily suggest going for a R9 290 or GTX 970 over a 960 if it means that the rest of the build is significantly weaker because of it. Only if you want to play games that are genuinely demanding, and probably at a higher resolution than 1080p (the R9 290 and GTX 970 are more targeted at 1440p), as a 960 will play nearly all modern games at max settings at 1080p.

Alright, just to make things clear: I need a pc build for games, video editing and work. My budget is around 750$ I need parts that you can buy in the netherlands (Kopen means buy so if you put that behind the pc part you get results for my country) I play 3D games and want to use Shadowplay (maybe some 2D games too :P.

What is the best build you guys think? You can use Tweakers for all dutch results :)

Thaaaanks!!!!!

Sooow, the 960 works better then the 970? for steam games and stuff like that?
