GPU temps

Go to solution Solved by Th3 Mans1ay3r,

It's going to be run hotter in the summer because of the warmer ambient temps. I think it running at 70C~ would be fine while in use.

Add-on: If you have an overhead fan than use it and try to keep the PC itself out of direct sunlight.

Also, what kind of CPU cooler you got?

Hi im new in the pc master race and got my first build 6 months ago:

Operating System
Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit
CPU
Intel Core i7 920 @ 2.67GHz 44 °C
Bloomfield 45nm Technology
RAM
12,0GB Triple-Channel DDR3 @ 525MHz (7-7-7-20)
Motherboard
BIOSTAR Group TPower X58 (CPU 1) 36 °C
Graphics
SONY TV (1920x1080@60Hz)
4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 (CardExpert Technology) 58 °C
Storage
931GB Western Digital WDC WD1002FAEX-00Y9A0 ATA Device (SATA) 45 °C

One question. Is it normal that my gpu is hotter on idle in sommer then in winter? and if so whats the temps that are safe for it?

My gpu is normaly around 48 degrees now its 60 and its 21 degrees outside, im just worried for the 12 degree difference.

Your temperatures are still fine. In the summer when ambient temperatures increase, it is natural for everything else to get warmer as well.

I ask because I've noticed that when I built mine I had to use the stock cooler and the increase in ambient case temps made my graphics card temps go up. When I installed my Hyper 212 Evo the ambient temps went down, even more so when I installed an intake fan in a great spot.

I also must mention my usage of a full tower PC so things get a bit more breathing room.
