Hey!

I was thinking off buying a new pc but not yet, waiting for skylake. But could use a new GPU for the moment and then transfer over.

So what am running right now:

Intel 2600k
ASUS B75M-PLUS mATX

Gtx 580

So what i was thinking was getting the new 980ti that hopefully will be released soon. Will this work, how those the 2600k stand up (bottleneck)?

Thankful for any answers!

The 2600k is still a beast cpu it won't bottleneck at all not even close. Amd 300 series is launching soon so wait until then, the 980ti will most likely be launch as a counter attack to amd 300 series.

Mainboard:ROG-STRIX-B360-G-GAMING/Cpu:I5 8400 /Gpu: Galax RTX 2070 /Ram: Corsair Vengeance 16 GB DDR4/ Storage:1TB HDD 2 Corsair SSD PSU : Corsair 550W/Cooling: Silverstone Air Cooler/ / Case : Corsair/Keyboard:Razer Chroma TKL/Mouse:Mionix Castor+Steelseries Qck Mass/Headphone:V Moda M100

I think that the CPU might bottleneck a bit. For the gpu I would go with the 980ti when it's realesed. If it takes too long go either with the 780ti or the 980.

Ok. But if it bottleneck a bit it want be a problem, right? Like i said will probably switch to skylake and take the GPU over :P

It performs better than 4690k... It wont bottleneck.

What if i prefer the green side?  :D

Still, NVidia might release 980Ti which would probably be titan x with less VRAM
