I would like opinions on my build. My budget is $4,000 and I would like to get a lot of bang out of this system. It will be about evenly split between gaming and content creation.

My goal for the color scheme to be black and white.

Another note, is when purchasing from Amazon I have a 9% sales tax, because I am in Washington and they are based in Washington.

@zwunder

I'd suggest;

Change your GPU to the gigabyte g1 gaming

Get windows from http://reddit.com/r/microsoftsoftwareswap

I made the GPU switch, however I would prefer to get windows direct from Microsoft, call me old fashioned, but I just am paranoid about software swaps and G2A.

Also you might want to change out the ssd for 2 250 GB ssd's then raid them

Also, with SSD's I would rather have one, rather than raid two only to have one die and kill the pair.

I'd go with this, you get more cores for productivity, a higher end cooler, more storage while keeping a high end 500GB class SSD and significantly more screen real-estate for productivity.

I personally use AS5 and have never had a problem. Also, according to the comparison charts AS5 is one of the top thermal compounds. And again, I have never had a problem with an Asus motherboard, and much prefer them to MSI or Asrock.

My first 3770k died to an Asus board. Gelid will drop temps by at least 5c, I have a kraken on my delidded 3770k

I understand that you had a bad experience with Asus, and I respect that, but that does not make all of their products bad. Thank you for you input. Also Gelid will not drop it 5c, at most it will drop it 1 or 2 degrees, which in the grand scheme of things doesn't matter as I am not going for a super insane overclock, I just want a solid overclock I can trust to run stably.
