I just decided to go with the 1080p I5 XPS15 Thanks for the advice all.
-
At this point it looks like it's between the XPS15 with an I5, and the Razer blade stealth. I am torn, because I like the SSD in the razer more than the storage in the XPS, but I like the larger screen and quad core in the XPS. I also don't like all of the bloatware that dell ships. Does anyone have hands on experience with either or preferably both of the laptops that can weigh in?
-
Okay, as the title says, I need a $1300 laptop/ultrabook. That is my absolute maximum price. I have been looking pretty heavily at the Razer Blade Stealth QHD, with 256gb of storage. That prices out to $1120 after my razer student discount. "Must Haves" Metal construction 256gb of storage At least 2 hours of battery life under modest load Good color at least 1080p, preferably higher minimum 12" not a tablet/convertible (I don't trust the durability) Windows I will be using this as a school computer, not gaming, and it would be a plus if I can run photoshop on it. This is going to replace my old and dying Sager NP7370, which is just too large and too heavy for use as a school computer.

I need a 7.1 dac, I would prefer if it was PCIe based, but I can settle for an external device if it is a better quality. I just bought a Denon AVR1909, and I need a card that can feed it 7.1 via something I can convert to RCA. My budget is around $200 bit I would like to spend less. I need each channel separate because I am a film maker and my software can only see each channel if it is analog, so optical/spdif is out of the question. So ultimately, I need a 7.1 DAC so I can edit audio in 7.1.

I would personally think that a matte or eggshell gunmetal grey would look really nice.
-
The easiest, but the least upgrade-able and with the lowest quality.
-
First off, to get XLR into your computer you'll need a preamp. I recommend something like this or something else from Scarlet. All of them have live audio output. In addition, the benefit of this is that you'll get a higher quality sound out of your microphone, and you'll also have the ability to change mics in the future if you don't like the one you have. I would also recommend the AT2035 bundle you have linked.
-
Slight Edit, it would be useful if the monitors posted are available in the USA, as that is where I am located.
-
I don't need anything crazy like 10 bit color or anything, as although this will be used for color work, I don't need perfect color, I have an iMac that I can use to do color correction.

I am looking for a good 1080p monitor to compliment my PB287Q. I need it to have vesa mount and the cheaper it is the better. Requirements: 1080p Less than 27" IPS Vesa mountable Wants: Cheap I am a video editor so this monitor would be used as an output preview monitor and mounted to an arm to go next to my current monitor.

I want a new phone. I currently am running a Nexus 5 running CM 11, however I feel like I want to upgrade to a newer device. I am looking at the LG G4 which is only $439.97 [Link] However I am also looking at waiting for the Nexus 5X. Should I hold out and wait for the 5x, or just sell my nexus 5 now and buy the G4? I am also curious of about how much my nexus would be worth running CM 11, I haven't found any for sale that are already loaded with it.

What receiver is that a picture of?
-
Basically I need the ability to bypass any built in dolby surround and just have my PC tell each speaker when to make noise.
-
I am a video editor, and I like to mix my films in 5.1 audio. However my old receiver which had actual physical 6 channel input died. I need help finding a new receiver that still has a way to talk to all 6 channels independently. Previously I had the Denon AVR-1700. I need something with a similar capability to replace it. Any help would be vastly appreciated. I would also wouldn't care if it's 7.1/Atmos as long as it still has the ability for me to address each channel on it's own.

I understand that this isn't necessarily PC audio, but this is the only audio forum on here. I want to find a wireless microphone setup that supports at least two handheld wireless microphones. This is for my work. Ideally they would be able to be rack mounted. We have a budget of around $1000 for these. Any suggestions are welcome. I was looking at getting two of These They need to have a range of at least 200 feet.
