Ongoing massdrop for a 5inch UMPC, only 50 votes to go, vote if you wish.

However the purpose of the thread would be, what would you do with such a device? I'd plan on playing RCT2 wherever I went, or brutal doom.

Also does anyone know of any moden x86 UMPCs? I think the last one really was the Viao P.

Before you say it, a tablet isn't really the same thing, there aren't any 5 inch win 8 tablets that I know of, and tablets don't have full sized USB ports.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

There are no Windows tablets that small, but Windows is nearly unusable at that screen size and resolution.

And some Windows tablets have full-sized USB ports, even the cheapest ones. The WinBook TW700 has a USB 2.0 port.

As well, the three there are all uselessly underpowered. At that point, you would struggle to run even a web browser, and that's not a good experience.

The highest rated one on there can take linux as well, and the open pandora runs android I believe.

Changed the link.

I think the new plan is going to be build a UMPC from intel's PC on a stick if it's proven to be solid.

Damn, wish I'd known about that WinBook before I bought my stream 7.
