My PC crashes when playing games for half an hour with my overclocked pentium at 4.3ghz even though my temps never get above 55 degrees

Pentium G3258

MSI Z87m gaming

MSI R9 270x gaming

8gb corsair vengeance

Cooler master seidon 120 water cooling

500w EVGA PSU

Only factory overclocked

What games?

Look at ALL the temps. If your GPU overheats, or anything actually, it goes wrong. So make sure all the temps stay okay.

My gpu stays below 60 degrees too. My fans don't even get above 1100rpm

the crash looks the same as just pressing the reset button. Blank screen and it reboots

I don't know. I use overclocking genie

Are you sure your reset button isn't stuck? :P

I unplugged it and the same thing happened :P

dont use crappy apps to overclock, take your time in the bios and increase voltages up to 1.35v and see how high can your clocks go

I wanted to do it properly but my cpu multiplier shows as "auto" and I can't change it

i agree with them, dont overclock cpu with softwares, better do it on BIOS and FYI thats a G series so take into consideration that it is not built for overclocking, :)

I am not supprised, it is not really intended to run at 4.3 ghz.

just turn it down to 4.0 and see how it goes. even that is a lot.

People get this thing up to 4.7 and its stable
