Bad Luck

So I seem to get horrible luck with PC's, especially since I use Ubuntu. Half the things I do never work, especially when I installed GPU drivers and updated my system afterwards. Update worked a good number on my drivers by not agreeing with them and now I can't even get into my desktop. Does anyone else share my bad luck? I want to know I'm not the only one who has to deal with hassle every time I do something.

This happened to me when I tried to install Skype on Ubuntu :\. Couldn't get into desktop anymore.

Wifi card isn't supported by default on any distro

Yeah, I spent hours last night getting the drivers to work. Then they worked without any trouble. up to 300 fps on Minecraft. Then the updates destroy them lol.

well, all hardware accelerated aplications i have used on linux have freezing/crashing because of (i think) driver issues. my GPU is intel integrated, but i thought intel had good linux drivers. :(

I don't know what to do personally. I'm about ready to drop it. I just can't ever get along with Windows lol.
