I have an R9 290x Lightning in my rig and am looking to buy a 4k monitor a bit down the line. When I bought the 290x on Amazon the info about it said max resolution is 1600p. Does this mean that if I buy a 4k monitor I won't be able to utilize it fully with watching movies or gaming? I was just wondering. Thanks!

That'll be on DVI, plug it into display port and you won't have any issues.

It'll work fine with 4K as far as displaying the content goes over DisplayPort.
