No, not trackball.

Yes, i mean the mouse where it uses a ball where the optical/lazer sensor would be.

Any ideas?

Im fine with buying used, i may have to to get one.

Because they're superior to optical/laser mice.

The best two ball mice that I know of are the Razer Boomslang and the Logitech Wingman. The wingman to this day still has a cult following. I have seen some modded to use optical sensors. I personally owned a Boomslang CE and I must say its a nice shape. Just a heads up though they are both 3 button mice, something most people today arnt used to.

They are all rare as they are quite old and were the pinnacle of ball mouse technology! Well excluding trackballs. You did say that you wanted the best didnt you?

heres the version nobody wants http://goo.gl/oPMWxZ

its a rare mouse without going on an enthusiast forum your likely not to find one as they are looooong out of production. So theyre either in the hands of people who want them or likely at thins point in a dump because idk if thrift stores even keep ball mice anymore.

Right clicking I think is essential.

I could get used to no scroll wheel.

I was recently looking at 40% keyboards.

It seems like one could make an even smaller layout, with just the letters, space, shift, and a few others. Like 30%

If you remove the modifiers a keyboard becomes infinitely less useful. this includes the Win key.
