Storage Cooling?

Go to solution Solved by Comessy,

You don't need to cool storage

The day I see a water cooled hard drive will be the day I kill myself

Hi, I'm planning on building a server and I was wondering do the SSDs and/or Hard drives storage devices need to be air/liquid cooled directly? Like, I've seen systems being cooled but the storage devices sometimes aren't.

Okay so then why do servers have such intense cooling? Is it to cool the rest of the system then?

A lot of hard drives constantly running can make heat but as long as air is always flowing there shouldn't be any worries

No real need as others have said but I do have something like this to just hide by HDD better and not have it stand out like a sore thumb in my build
