What psu should I get ?

Go to solution Solved by quan289,

Even though the HX650v2 is fully capable of power that system, I would not get it. It's $107.98 after MIR. It's based on the Seasonic G platform, where you can find it for cheaper and it offer better native connectivity (four PEG connectors to SLI/CFX as opposed to only two). http://pcpartpicker.com/part/seasonic-power-supply-ssr650rm

I would much rather get the higher-end Antec HCP-750 Platinum at that price point: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371083

Now the total watts on ppp is 366W . Does this mean that I should get a 500w psu ? If I want to overclock the CPU and the GPU what psu should I get ?

If you not going to SLI, then I would recommend the XFX XTR 550w for $60.99 after MIR: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817207032

Here is the list of the parts :

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($324.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock Z97 EXTREME4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($125.98 @ Newegg)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card  ($332.99 @ Amazon)
Case Fan: Noctua NF-F12 PWM 55.0 CFM 120mm  Fan  ($22.49 @ OutletPC)
Case Fan: Noctua NF-F12 PWM 55.0 CFM 120mm  Fan  ($22.49 @ OutletPC)
Case Fan: Noctua NF-F12 PWM 55.0 CFM 120mm  Fan  ($22.49 @ OutletPC)
Total: $1079.16
Now the total watts on ppp is 366W . Does this mean that I should get a 500w psu ? If I want to overclock the CPU and the GPU what psu should I get ?
