Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

If gaming oriented: Drop the I7 and get a higher capacity SSD

If production oriented, pretty nice

How can I lower the price but have similar speeds?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/zjJY7P

ok...

CPU is good, board is good, memory is good, storage is way expensive, video card... you can get better with a different build, powersupply is overkill, case is expensive (but i guess you like it), who uses an optical drive now a days?.

What all are you using the computer for?

Edit:

Also no cooler, so you will burn your i7-4790k with anything but stock speed.

I also see 0 storage for games. 120gb ssd is not big enough.

If you are going pure gaming, this build will do way better. Enjoy.

Edit:

You may really like the PSU I put in there, as it matches your case, it's still bronze cert, and its $40 less.

Also, the board is white and black, and will match your theme perfectly.

Now, you have plenty of room for storage of your games.

The ssd is the same speed, same capacity, but $40 less.

you have a cooler, so you can overclock no problem.

For gaming only the i5-4690k is plenty powerful for gaming. (even a bit still overboard than what you need.)

Didnt mean to change the color of your memory, i suggest getting black to match your theme.

I don't care. Home premium is so shit. Get pro or go home. I also say duck you windows 8 I'm laughing that you bought premium

This is just not helpful, and just causing drama. Please take it elsewhere.

if you want to really match up some brands/colors and theme I suggest getting this as a cooler...

But idk how well it works compared to the EVO, and it for sure runs louder than the EVO. But theme it up, make it look nice!

Thank you everyone for your help

Do you need Hyper-Threading of the i7? Hyper-Threading helps with rendering and stuff. If not, you can save a 100 by just getting an i5.

For the rest, really good build! The PSU is a little bit overkill, do you want to do SLI/Crossfire in the future?

Also, welcome to the forums!

You don't need an i7 if your dumb enough to buy home premium. i5 is unbottle neck able unless your buying a Titanx which is worth more than your whole rig

An i5 can't bottleneck anything...

Windows Home Premium is good enough. It's 64 bit and that's good. Even though Home Premium only supports 16GB, but that's plenty. Ultimate costs almost double than Home Premium. Don't be an a** just because somebody bought an OS.
