Is this SLI Ready?  I noticed one version says "SLI Ready" and I assume I'll need to do SLI since I'll be installing two. Why do you recommend that over the others?

EVGA! EVGA!

Preferably their highest tier? Assuming price isn't a huge issue.

As much as I agree with you but to a point.  I would not recommend their highest tier 980, aka Kingpin.  Yes it is a great card but if a person were to buy it and not use it to its fullest potential, then it will even be more of a waste of money given that the cost to performance ratio is already shit for these cards.

I have a potato!

•NVIDIA GPU Boost 2.0 NVIDIA Adaptive Vertical Sync NVIDIA Surround Technology NVIDIA SLI Ready

980's support 4 way SLI

Also make sure your motherboard supports SLI. I only said it because you asked about that and $609 version which was a marked up price on Amazon from another seller. Your fine with buying the $549 version. That version because ACX 2.0 is the price difference.

Galax's HoF card look baller as fuck and got 2nd best 3D mark score behind K1ngP1n.

They also come with a free 240 SSD so if you dont have some you can have 2 cards and 2 raid 0.

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

Staples of LTT: Getting an 4690 K will resurrect your lost family members, AMD = More heat thus AMD = Satan.
