i7 4790k and ASRock H97M Anniversary complatible?

Looking at the intel website Compatible List

looks like it its compatible but it doesnt show up the ASRock H97M Anniversary

 

You may ask why h97 the reason is i do not plan on oc but i have the fear that the motherbard single 4 pin power connector will fry with that cpu

please tell me if i have nothing to fear

Considering 97 boards are made for that particular cpu I would be shocked if it wasn't. lol

The 4790K will work perfectly with that board, but you will be wasting your money as you can't overclock K chips on H97 boards.

Question. If you're not overclocking, and you're going h97, why get a K SKU?

Yeah...  Intel kinda messed that one up, I mean really... Most people who buy a K processor are going to be overclocking it so they don't care what the stock speeds are. It would have made more sense for the non K parts to have higher clock speeds.
