overclocking CPU

Go to solution Solved by harrynowl,

my hero!

What is "uncore ratio"

It's what we call the cache clock, it controls the transfer of data between cpu cache etc, we tend to leave it alone while we find a good overclock for our CPUs because it could cause bluescreens in stress testing. So it's best to find max cpu clock first then max cache clock (or just leave cache alone entirely it's no big impact).

Put VRIN override to 1.9V, and CPU Vcore to 1.275V.

Then go to frequency controls and adjust CPU ratio to 42x (4.2GHz).

for Vcore max is 1.2

I thought to use same settings

What do you think

Try 1.2V then, and those settings look OK but don't touch "uncore ratio" leave that at default settings for now.
