I want to replace the controller in my Apple Adjustable Keyboard

What are some good controllers i can get, and where can i get them?

 

Preferably with media key controll as well.

 

 

I have a rasberry pi, anyway i could use that?

I feel like I should recommend against because of the value of the board and really there are only a few options to do what you want to do and a raspberry pi is not one of them. It may be more work then you are ready to do if you have never really done much soldering and stuff.

I have not seen the inside of that keyboard so I'm not sure how easy it would be to do but normally you would use a teensy 2.0 as the controller. I can go into more detail but i really don't know if you should be doing it

also there are only a few of us here that would have any idea about what you are trying to do so this isn't the place to be asking about this good to

I have not opened it up yet, i might just open it and check out whats going on inside.

Yeah, im not sure if i have enough experience.

EDIT: also, i got the keyboard for free.

but, a replacement if i break it would be 100$

Yeah its deffinatly not going to work, at least with the num pad, but i assume they keyboard would be the same.

Keys are conected directly to PCB, there is no plate.

I was thinking that may be the case which makes it harder that is for sure.

Unless you know how to trace the traces and learn the key matrix you have no hope.
