JonnyGuru.com, EVGA PSU's are the only real option because of price/reliability/performance

Pricing and availability are varied due to location and time. Not every country in the world has EVGA available to them, and when they do, it may not necessary be well priced to other options. Seeing how the OP is looking at or already own the VS650 shows that he isn't from the NA, as it's a 230v only PSU. With time, pricing doesn't always stayed the same. There will be sales, there will be price changes. As such, units that been notorious of being "overpriced" one day can be excellently priced the next.

Regarding the reliability and performance of the unit. The EVGA 600B is an entry level, group-regulated PSU made by HEC. It's  uses Taiwanese caps from Teapo, has a 3 year warranty, rated for 40C, and it's in the same segment as the Corsair CX. ATM, it is $59.99 or $49.99 after MIR: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817438014

In the same price range, you could get the Rosewill Capstone for $69.99 or $39.99 after MIR: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817182068

It's based on the Super Flower Golden Green platform (which the EVGA B2 is based on), that uses higher quality Japanese caps, a 7 year warranty, rated for 50C, offer vastly superior electrical performance due to DC-DC, efficiency, etc.

Between the EVGA 600B and the Capstone 550w, the Capstone is a better option because of price/reliability/performance, so your generalizing statement of EVGA PSUs being the only "real" option is incorrect.
