My laptop had always had strange graphical atrifacts, but they have always gone away with a reboot. Recently, I truned it on to see the monitor split into 12 identical sections and the resolution turned down to 800x600. The screen shows up as, "generic monitor" now when it used to have a model number. A reinstall of the Graphics drivers temporarily fixed the problem, but one restart later the problem was back. I tried a reinstall of the OS and all of the drivers, but still saw no change. The screen splits into these sections immediatly when it boots up, even the BIOS is split into these sections. The laptop is an ASUS G50V here is the link to the specs. The laptop is also running windows 7 ultimate as the OS, not windows vista as it came with it. Any Ideas? Have any of you ever seen anything like this before? I can't seem to find anything like it. Here is a picture of it

try do restore or update the video card driver.

if that happens just on the windows screen and when you boot up your laptop and see the bios screen is fine that means is your video card !

good luck !
