So yeah, I have a couple of problems with my computer, or MB/USB
When i'm gaming my mouse will jam (turns off) for a couple of seconds, this also happens to keyboard - note that both are connected with USB.
this happens about 2-3 times an hour, but the main problem is that after a while, it will completely jam up - can't use my mouse or keyboard - and I need to restart my PC.
I got a old G5 Steelseries mouse, and a crappy "Thrust" keyboard, and on my mouse i see that the "DPI lights" turns on and off.

So I think it's the USB ports/hubs that jams up, but not quite sure - might be windows/drivers as well

My MB is an Asus P67 Sabertooth
Running Windows 7 64x OEM

Any Ideas? (A)

Does this happen if you use the USB 3.0 ports? And have you updated the bios to the latest version? There has been some problems with some USB devices on P67 Asus boards, and they fixed that with some bios updates

Try another set of peripherals from a friend and see if you can recreate this issue, if you can than you know it is a motherboard problem. If not, then it is the mouse and keyboard with issues, possibly drivers?

Try using the keyboard and mouse on a different computer. If they work find try plugging other USB devices into those same USB ports and see if they experience any issues. It might be a motherboard issue.

Also make sure your drivers for the mouse and keyboard are updated and NOT corrupt. Try using revo-unistaller to uninstall the drivers completely before re-downloading them.

it was some comments that the old BIOS driver is not compatible with the new USB root/hub drivers, so I might have updated the USB hub/root drivers and not the BIOS so that crashed, trying to install the new BIOS driver now - but that turned out the be difficult... "not EFI file".... If that doesn't work, i'l reinstall the USB drivers.
thx for the help, btw! :P
