Worth the upgrade?

So I currently have a 27" Acer monitor that runs at 120hz @1080p and has 3D capability (which I don't use). I am thinking about getting the new acer xb270hu 144 hz 1440P IPS monitor but I really don't know much about displays. I have a nice setup for a pc and want the most I can get out of it with a great monitor! i7 4770k with a GTX 980 graphics card, 16 gigs of ram. Would this be a significant upgrade and noticeable? Also where the hell can I buy one because they seem out of stock everywhere. Thanks!

IPS, 144hz, gsync and 1440p is a nice step up but only you can say if it's worth it.. (The predator is not cheap)

They haven't reached retail channels yet.. they are "on the way"

This monitor is Hella expensive. If you have the money do it, if not I wouldn't save for it unless you have a very big reason to get it in particular.
