I can't get audio on my PC. It works fine with USB but not from the 3.5mm headphone jack that comes from my motherboard. I added a screen shot with my settings and all the ports are in it are dimmed out and when I show disconnected devices it says speakers are not plugged in. this is the second post I've made for this, please help!

Ah yes, I have the same issue but can't resolve it. Anyways: download any new motherboard drivers off Asus' site. Also check all your Motherboard connectors are all good, the front panel connectors etc.

CPU: Intel i7-4790K @ 4.7GHz --- RAM: Lenovo 1600MHz 16GB --- MOBO: Gigabyte Z97-G7 --- GPU: EVGA GTX 970 FTW ACX 2.0+--- PSU: Corsair CX600 --- Case: Corsair Air 540 --- Cooler: NZXT Kraken X61 --- OS: Windows 8.1 --- Monitor: 24" AOC G2460P + Dell 19" --- Mouse: Logitech MX Perfromance --- Keyboard: Corsair K70 (Cherry MX Brown) --- Audio: Sennheiser HD558

Don't buy a GTX 980, it's overpriced! Buy 2 GTX 970s or 2 R9 290s intstead (the R9 290s would even be cheaper)

uninstall the asus drivers

and get the newest drivers from realtek

i've tried that too. went straight to realtek and the problem didn't resolve. but there is digital output on my motherboard. not sure if it works but the out put is there. also, when i show disconnected devices, the green 3.5mm jack shows up, so it's there, just says not connected
