Best Z97 Board from a List

Guest AakashKcX

I use the ASRock Extreme4 and love it. It has features on it that are hard to find at the price point, (or at least were) for only £110-£115 it has an awesome colour scheme (Blue with black and grey), non of that gold/yellow crap that Asus and Gigabyte are using. Supports SLI & Crossfire, Decent on-board audio.

Edit: It also has great overclocking ability with built in profiles. If you don't want to use the profiles, you can manually OC. i managed to get my i5 4690k stable at 4.5GHz 24/7 on 1.21v (although, Overclocks are more dependent on the silicone lottery more than the motherboard now.)

all of them are good, try to get one that supports sli and crossfire, something like Msi Z97 Krait or Gigabyte Z97 gaming 5 (not the gaming 3, i have it and there is a problem with the two native sata ports, and i also read a comment on amazon, where someone complained about m.2 port not working)

basically they are all good

Gigabyte G7 gaming's real nice.

Intel 4790 K - R9 295X2 - Gigabyte Z97-SLI - Corsair Vengeance Pro Black 1866 CAL9 - Corsair HX 1000 -Samsung 850 EVO SSD - Samsung HDD - H100I - Corsair C70 - G400 Logitech - Asus VS247H - WASD custom mechanical and QCKPAD!

Staples of LTT: Getting an 4690 K will resurrect your lost family members, AMD = More heat thus AMD = Satan.
