I cannot overclock anymore ;_;

AMD overdrive isn't that great in my experience. i've always gotten more stable overclocks using the MB's BIOS or UEFI.

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

I just checked my clock because my cs was lagging.. It was 1,4ghz, something is going wrong.. :P

btw haswell is nearly 2 years old now so upgrading in 4 months is a bad idea, skylake is due around august.

My bios doesn't have anything like that... I would've done that already but it doesn't have anything even close to changing clock speed or voltage.. Fuck this mobo.

can you find out EXACTLY what model board you have because if it is an asus m5a97 pro or something....yes you do.

I bought a "premade" pc :D I don't know what to name it but it says in my motherboard "m5a97 evo" or something.

in that case thats a pretty sweet board (with a meh cpu), this is your bios

there are many like it, but this one is your's...

head over to AI tweaker and set cpu ratio to 20x and somewhere should be cpu voltage which should be around 1.35

that'll get you to 4ghz instantly, disable turbo core (or leave the multi set to 21) and then go over to the advanced tab and find cool n quiet and disable that, boot into windows and jbos a good'n.

if you cant overclock on amd an intel K series is not for you.

you can always find an fx8350 overclocking guide as the core architecture is the same, follow the same steps and you could likely hit 4.6ghz on that chip very easy.

edit-jayztwocents is a decent guide BUT IGNORE THE FSB tweaking, just stick to changing the multiplier.

there are many like it, but this one is your's...

head over to AI tweaker and set cpu ratio to 20x and somewhere should be cpu voltage which should be around 1.35

that'll get you to 4ghz instantly, disable turbo core (or leave the multi set to 21) and then go over to the advanced tab and find cool n quiet and disable that, boot into windows and jbos a good'n.

if you cant overclock on amd an intel K series is not for you.

you can always find an fx8350 overclocking guide as the core architecture is the same, follow the same steps and you could likely hit 4.6ghz on that chip very easy.

edit-jayztwocents is a decent guide BUT IGNORE THE FSB tweaking, just stick to changing the multiplier.
