Intel 5 4690K

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 2g

Gigabyte H97 gaming 3

g.skill riprawX 16 gb

Samsung 850 evo 120 gb SSD

WD black 1tb storage

Corsair RM 550 80+ Gold

Corsair 400r ATX mid tower casing

And just wondering should I use cooler master hyper 103 fan or cooler master evo 212

Is this build fine for a gaming computer that I dont overclock?

It's a solid gaming rig, but I'd suggest four things if it's just a gaming system.

  • Z97 chipset for optimal overclocking/features.
  • A GTX 970 or R9 290X since the price gap isn't huge for the extra performance, or an R9 290 if you want to stay closer to the GTX 960's price.
  • Drop the 16GB RAM to 8GB, 16GB isn't necessary
  • Get a better PSU, such as the EVGA SuperNOVA NEX650G2 or others.

For a cooler, use the Hyper 212 EVO or a be quiet! Pure Rock if you want a lower-cost but still good for OC solution.

Hyper 212, and the build is fine.

I'd strongly suggest a 280X over the 960, as it has 50% more vram, and outperforms it for only about $15 more.

downgrade 4690k to 4690

dont buy a cpu fan

use money on a 290

get a cx600m, dont get evga nex psus, very low quality

8 gb of ram instead of 16

swap out the ssd for a cheaper alternate from ocz/crucial

swap out the black for a blue

My Build: 4690k @ 4.7 GHz, ASUS Strix 970 @ 1316 MHz, H105, Corsair Vengeance Pro @ 1600 MHz, H440, RM750
