What's the difference between a $100 and a $1K bike? anyway if you prefer the bike get the bike, it's your money, you should get what you prefer.

PC

When everything else Fails,Crowbar IT. - Half-life

Being a Linux user is sort of like living in a house inhabited by a large family of carpenters and architects. Every morning when you wake up, the house is a little different. Maybe there is a new turret, or some walls have moved. Or perhaps someone has temporarily removed the floor under your bed." - Unix for Dummies, 2nd Edition (Found in the .sig of Rob Riggs)

I'm curious though. How are more expensive bikes better?

After a price point there are diminished returns

Advantages

Light weight

Aerodynamic

Durable

Reliable at high speed

Better cassette and drivetrain

I can't list all the post will become length af

New bike.

I cant wait to get my Specialized Rock Hopper this summer!

@as96 The difference between a $100 bike and a $1000 bike is huge. Parts quality, adjustment ability, weight, smoothness of shifting, brakes, and the list goes on. Most people are fine with a sub $300 bike, just like most people are fine with a sub $500 pc.

IF the bike helps you get to work, to make more money, get the bike.
If the bike is for fun but you rarely go outside? Go with PC, if vice versa, go Bike

The time you enjoy wasting, is not wasted time.

Def get the bike man. When your fit from riding the bike then you can buy a PC..

Better parts. Buy a crap bike from  walmart.. I can guarantee the rims will be warped after one trail ride. The suspension they offer on cheap bikes is well cheap and doesn't have very much travel. The only bike I'd buy thats cheap is Swhinn.Other then that ccm and all those other bikes are crap.

Do the biking gets you to important places? Like if it wasn't for the bike, would you have to leave 30 mins earlier for class?
