I have looked the reviews and searched the topic but i can't seem to find the answer. Do the HyperX Clouds have 7.1 surround sound?

From what I have seen, no. However the cloud II does have the 7.1.

It's always a good day if you woke up breathing.

If you are looking for a great low cost 7.1 audio capable headset, the HyperX Cloud II is an awesome choice and also it is comfortable and lite enough to wear for extended gaming sessions without any discomfort.

Or get the original clouds for less money and use free Razer surround or in-game settings.

I'm so confused.

Would you buy a mouse from Western Digital?

A keyboard from Netgear?

Why do people think a memory manufacturer is the best place to source headphones from?

Probably because they know vastly more about the product than you do.

Kingston doesn't make the Clouds. They are a rebranded Qpad product, which is based of another rebranded OEM headphone. Those headphones were already considered good for the money, and the Kingston version comes with more accessories.

I wouldn't go with any headset that has "Virtual Surround".

I have a Razer Tiamat 7.1, and it does make a big difference.

Pair that with a descent sound card like a Xonar DX and you should be good to go.

Switching back and forth from 7.1 to 2.1 does provide a noticeable difference, but it's nothing to write home about.

I would suggest this one for its dedicated base drivers though.

What is the advantage of "dedicated" bass drivers over a "dedicated" full-range driver that is better in every way?
