Trouble getting good OC results with Q6600

Not sure if this is too off topic to even post it :P

 

I managed to get a hold of a Q9400 CPU from work, from a PC that was going to be thrown out anyway.

I updated the BIOS in the motherboard so the the MB would support it.

I changed the CPU, and it worked.

 

I overclocked it, to 450 FSB with a multiplier of 8, with only raising the Vcore to 1.35.

 

It's steady, been testing it for 4 hours now.

 

I think i had a bad CPU, or at least, a bad one for OC, this "new" Q9400 does great!

 

I've learned a bit about OC'ing, thanks for those who replied!

Awesome, Q9400s are sweet, I used to have one in a P45T board, ran like a devil.

Silicon lottery can be merciful sometimes.
