Display output cutting out when PC is under load with Asus GTX 970

So I have been running my PC for a while now, and I have recently been encountering a weird issue. Firstly here is a video of the issue.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-rvkpWA6xs&feature=youtu.be

What has been happening is when I have have been putting my PC under medium to heavy load (eg. playing games like CS:GO, rendering with Adobe Premiere) the screen has been going black for a period of time, and going on and off, with the intervals growing in time. Sometimes is goes off more seriously, where the audio loops, and it takes a long time to respond. I have a couple of theories, and am wanting some input.

1. The Graphics card is the issue, and needs an RMA.

2. The motherboard, or another component is overheating due to the cramped form factor of the Node 304 paired with the 970 and NH-D14

3. There is a software or driver issue, or a bios setting.

I have done a clean re-install, temps are fine, I have reseated the GPU and the slot is clean, powercables are good, and I will reseat the RAM shortly and try that.
