There is definitely some quality assurance in buying pre-built PCS, but obviously they are over priced, but often do pretty sketchy stuff.

I would prefer to do custom just because I know what is happening to the pc, cheaper obviously, and get to pick most efficient parts.

do you prefer custom or prebuilt pc's?

I personally like custom built. I can understand why people would want prebuilt and I do not criticize any person for doing so, but I like to know what exactly goes into my own pc and to make sure the manufacturer is not dropping the shit on the floor and stupid stuff like that which may shorten the lifespan of my pc etc. Its also a lot cheaper which is also a great reason to do a custom build

Custom is the only way to go. Pre-builds are for lazy people or dumb dumbs. They suck performance-efficiency wise. Not only you'll have a satisfaction of bulding it yourself, but also in most cases you will pay less and learn something at the same time.
