Hello linustechtips forums!

I'm just a noob to computer building so I decided to let NCIX build my rig and that's where I ordered all my parts from so far(all pc components, no peripherals yet). I'm very happy with what I ordered and I'm going to list my parts for everyone.

CPU: Intel i5 4690K

CPU Cooler: Corsair h100i

Case: NZXT H440 ATX Mid Tower (red)

Motherboard: ASRock Z97 Anniversary LGA 1150

Memory: G. Skill Ripjaws DDR3-1866 8 GB

Power Supply: Originally they picked out a Thermaltake TR2 600W but I read some reviews and wasn't impressed so I had them switch it to a Seasonic S12II-620W

Storage: SSD: SanDisk SDSSDP-128-G25 128Gb

               HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM

GPU: Gigabyte GTX970 G1 1329MHZ

OS: Windows 8.1 64bit

So anyways I'm looking for a little bit of advice. First off what do you think of me changing the PSU? I read reviews on both ncix.com and newegg.com and they both said that the seasonic s12II-620 was a better, more reliable unit. Also, I should have done more research about what case to use because I ordered all my parts last week and ncix has to ship out my h440 from Vancouver(to Mississauga) but I've been reading reviews on that case and a lot of people are saying it has bad airflow, uh oh! Any suggestions for a different case? I don't mind if there isn't a viewing window I just want something that has good airflow and is of good quality for the same price range as the h440( $130 CND, I wouldn't mind spending a bit more than that). Hopefully ncix will allow me to switch out the cases because they had to ship it cross country. And finally, I haven't picked out any of my peripherals yet, I'm looking for suggestions for those parts, mainly what monitor I should go for. What do you think?

Hi, I could be wrong but this sections is more for people building rigs and posting progress of the rigs. Questions can be posted elsewhere.  Good luck with your rig.

Pretty sure this is in the correct section :P

Anyway, I'd pick seasonic over thermaltake anyday, so I agree with that decision. for a new case, I'd suggest the Phanteks Enthoo Pro or the Enthoo Luxe, good airflow and good looks. peripherals come down to preference, so whatever you'd want, I'll point you in the direction of CMStorm and Corsair for keyboard/mice (Stay away from Razer!) and Asus/Acer/LG/BenQ for monitors. Good luck!

Yea but this is the "build logs" section.  He is not building anything. Would make more sense to be here in the "New builds and planning" http://linustechtips.com/main/forum/18-new-builds-and-planning/

So anyways to get back to my rig, I called ncix today and told them I wanted to switch cases to the Phanteks Enthoo Pro w/ window and they were all for it :) So I just have to wait for them to build the pc then I'll post some pics of the completed build(hopefully in the right section this time). Thanks to the one guy who actually gave me solid advice on what to switch to, as for everyone else...BUCKETHEAD slays Gilbert any day of the week!!!! Jk they're both top notch shredders:)
