New laptop problems

i bouth a new HP laptop with a radeon hd 8600m series GPU and an i3 cpu. My problem is that its using the integrated grafics and not the amd grafics. i have instaled the latest drivers. In windows where do i change to the radeon GPU?

You should be able to change what GPU is used for certain programs with the AMD software. With Nvidia, its the "Nvidia control panel", so I assume that there is something similar with AMD chips.

It will automatically switch over when using a graphics intensive program like a game.

 

I'm not sure if you can change to only using the discreet chip. It would have to be a setting in the bios as the CCC doesn't allow it.
