USB Drive broken during Formatting

Go to solution Solved by Brandonberg,

Can probably also use the DiskPart Clean command.

If you google "diskpart clean command" there are a few tutorials on rescuing SD cards/USB thumb drives using the built in Windows command prompt utility.

Hey,

I was using a tool to copy an iso to my USB drive to make it bootable and it managed to create a 5mb partition and leave 14.9gb unallocated. In Disk Manager I cannot delete or create partitions on the drive. The options are greyed out.

Any tips on how to rescue to drive?

Thanks

Use this method:

https://www.sdcard.org/downloads/formatter_4/

Download the program and it will format the drive to it's default state. Pick the broken drive, click format. It's easy to use.
