Hi, I have a Windows 8.1 laptop and wanted to ask if there is any way I could playback audio on both a TV (HDMI) and the laptop speakers at the same time??

Thanks in advance. :)

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"

You should  be able to set your HDMI to "Listen to device".

That should work...

I'll have a look now.

Ah!

Here: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-play-audio-through-hdmi-speakers-simultaneously-in-windows-7/

Not trying to be an ass, I just though it would be easier to do that than explaining it :)

Okay, I'll have a look at that. Thanks!
