If it's a triple core CPU, I'm not sure if a 4th core exists within it...

Laptop - Asus TUF FX504GM

i7 8750H | 24GB DDR4 | GTX 1060 6GB | 128GB NVMe SSD | 1TB HDD

i'm pretty sure you could. there is a cult somewhere didicated to unlocking 3core CPUs

We can't Benchmark like we used to, but we have our ways. One trick is to shove more GPUs in your computer. Like the time I needed to NV-Link, because I needed a higher HeavenBench score, so I did an SLI, which is what they called NV-Link back in the day. So, I decided to put two GPUs in my computer, which was the style at the time. Now, to add another GPU to your computer, costs a new PSU. Now in those days PSUs said OCZ on them, "Gimme 750W OCZs for an SLI" you'd say. Now where were we? Oh yeah, the important thing was that I had two GPUs in my rig, which was the style at the time! They didn't have RGB PSUs at the time, because of the war. The only thing you could get was those big green ones.

all triples are really duel duel cores.

did you read your own link? both replys talk about how 3 core CPUs are lackluster 4cores that lost the silicon lottery.

Well it has a 4th core present.

If it's a triple core CPU, I'm not sure if a 4th core exists within it...

Triple cores are a design failure, rather than toss the failed quad core they just disable the faulty core(s).

all triples are really duel duel cores.

The triple cores are either based on Propus or Deneb (and their mobile counterparts), which were quad core dies.

did you read your own link? both replys talk about how 3 core CPUs are lackluster 4cores that lost the silicon lottery.

True but they can unlock, they can also lock them to meet demand for a different CPU. Same was true with GPUs back in the day.

@GUzmani Yes it can probably unlock, but I doubt you have ACC in your BIOS.
