I was getting hideous stuttering. Like holy shit I'd be driving and suddenly the screen would freeze for like half a second. I thought it was the 3.5GB vram thing, until I looked at RivaTuner and saw I was only using 3.3GB. I currently have 32GB in, but Windows 7 Home Premium can only address 16 so. Yeah.

That sucks doesn't it, Hahahah.

Dying Light is a really extreme case though. Trik was saying that he had that problem when he maxed the viewdistance slider, which can and does cripple 980s also.

I did say I had problems in dying light, but I also had DSR set to 1440p without realizing it, as soon as I set it to plain old 1080, it was fine.

Actually consoles run games at high, to to digital foundry and look for comparison between Metro LL in PC and PS4, going to give you links tomorrow as I'm lazy, on bed , going to sleep now.

Good to know. Still, I feel like more than one monitor is better than anything console can do lol

Not really. 32 GB would be massive overkill anyway. I'm more than happy with 16.

It maybe be but more = better and you can disable that Page file off your SSD or HDD, and win will be using more of your ram so it must be doing something with that extra ram.

We will see, maybe the games you will be playing will be stretching like BF or you will get black bars.

Alternatively I could just upgrade to Windows 8.1 or 10. From messing around with the PC I build dad (which currently has my RAM in it), Windows 8.1 handles RAM usage a lot more sensibly than 7. With 8.1 I probably would be ok with 8GB again. But an extra 8GB is cheaper than Windows 8.1, so never mind.

Watch Dogs actually runs fairly decent for me now, at least after I turned off the damned DSR.

I had DSR turned on through the Nvidia control panel...mistake. Not just turned on as an option, but forced on, global settings.

It's so stunning. Like seriously, with max textures, max reflections, highest quality water...

Come to think of it, I should try Far Cry 3 again... all this time I was sure it was a CPU bottleneck, that could have been RAM as well. Doy.
